Step By Step Memorial Day Menu

Not sure what to cook up this Memorial Day weekend? Try this step-by-step menu for the grill including beef ribs, grilled coleslaw with bacon and a grilled banana split. Check out the video below and the recipes that follow!
Texas Beef Ribs
4 – 6 pounds of beef ribs
1/4 cup Kosher salt
3 tbsp cracked black pepper
1/4 garlic powder
1/4 cup onion powder
3 tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
2 cups beef broth
Create dry rub by mixing salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and steak seasoning together in a bowl and set aside. Remove the membrane from the back of the beef ribs and cover both sides of ribs generously with rub. Allow to rest for an hour.
Prepare grill for indirect cooking, placing coals on both sides of the grill. Place ribs bone side down in an aluminum half pan and add 2 cups of beef broth. Place pan in the center of the grate, cover and allow to cook for until meat reaches internal temperature of 180 to 185 degrees (approximately 4 hours).
Southern Grilled Coleslaw
One head of cabbage, cored and cut in to eighths
Southern slaw dressing (recipe follows)
1 cup crumbled bacon
Grill cabbage over direct heat for 5 minutes per side until char marks are visible. Chop cabbage finely, toss with dressing, add bacon and serve.
Southern Slaw Dressing
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
Mix all ingredient and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Grilled Banana Split
Slice 2-4 bananas lengthwise, leaving skin on.
Place cut side down on grill for 3-5 minutes.
flip and drizzle with agave or honey and sprinkle generously with brown sugar.
Cover grill and allow sugar to caramelize, approximately 5 minutes. Remove and allow to cool
Place bananas in a bowl, add ice cream, your favorite toppings and serve.
