Grilled Bananas Foster
3 ripe bananas unpeeled
1/2 cup chopped black walnuts
3 tbsp. unsalted butter
2 tbsp. maple syrup
2 tbsp chocolate sauce
Prepare grill for medium heat cooking. Cut bananas in to two inch pieces and slice each on the bias leaving the peel intact. Grill bananas for approximately 5 minutes on each side until peel turns dark brown and banana has softened. Meanwhile heat a small saucepan on the grill. Add walnuts and cook 3-5 minutes stirring periodically until lightly toasted. Add butter and maple syrup and heat an additional 5 minutes.
Remove bananas and walnut, butter, and maple syrup sauce from the heat. Remove bananas from the peel and plate angled side up, top with walnut sauce and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Serve immediately.
