Grilled Bacon Wrapped Figs

Figs and bacon…bacon and figs… Here’s a classic combination of salty and sweet that’s sure to kickoff your next tailgating adventure!
1 pint fresh figs, tops and bottoms removed and quartered
1lb thick cut bacon cut in half
Preheat grill for medium-high heat cooking (watch pitmaster extraordinaire Chris Lilly’s demo on controlling your grill temperature here). Wrap each fig tightly with ½ slice of bacon and place seam side down on the grill. Cover grill and allow the figs and bacon to cook approximately 20 minutes, turning every five minutes until the bacon is browned and crisp. Remove from heat, plate and serve.
