Yields:
3-4 servings
Cook time:
2 1/2 hours Prep time:
15 minutes
Ingredients
- ½ cup Kosher salt
- ¾ cup Spanish paprika
- 1 ½ cup brown Sugar
- 1 ounce hickory smoke salt
- 2 racks pork ribs – either St. Louis cut spare ribs or baby back ribs
- 2 racks pork ribs – either St. Louis cut spare ribs or baby back ribs
- 2/3 cup black pepper
- 5 tablesoons onion powder
- 5 tablespoons Garlic Powder
- KC Masterpiece® Barbeque Sauce
- ½ cup Kosher salt
Instructions
- Pull the membrane off the back of the ribs and spread the rub liberally on the meat side of the ribs. With the grill on medium – 300-350 degrees put ribs on bone side down for 2 hours
- After 2 hours, flip the ribs to meat side down for the next hour. Flip again to bone side down for the final hour.
- You should be able to pick up the ribs with a tong and have them bend to 90 degrees. That is a good indication of “doneness”. At this point, brush sauce on the ribs and leave them on the grill for about 15 minutes, just long enough to “set” the sauce. Pull from grill and let rest before cutting and serving
