On the BBQ Trail: Meyer Natural Angus

Recently I had the opportunity to travel to the Meyer Company Ranch in Helmville, Montana, home of Meyer Natural Angus. Born from Bob Meyer’s desire to produce the highest quality, most consistent, natural beef available while simultaneously addressing the public’s growing demand for additive-free beef raised under environmentally friendly and truly humane conditions.
Bob’s passion was evident from the moment we arrived at the ranch, at which the beautiful red Angus cattle are raised in a truly stress-free environment. Since 1990, Bob and his team have been dedicated to building a Red Angus genetics program that ensures that the highest quality and consistency are maintained across generations with verifiable origins, all without the use of hormones or antibiotics.
But what truly sets Meyer Company Ranch apart is the dedication to preserving the history of the region through the preservation of many local landmarks and to the stabilization and maintenance of the land, its inhabitants and its natural resources.
While there I was afforded the opportunity to try a number of dishes featuring the Meyer Natural Angus, and the commitment to excellence truly shined through, from its beautiful marbling, the tenderness of the meat and, most importantly, the taste.
